Stephen McKendry

Stephen is the lead physiotherapist and founder of Your Physio. He has a wealth of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. He is passionate about sport and fitness with a special interest in return to play. 

Stephen graduated in 2011 from Northumbria University. He went on to work for a large Physiotherapy company in England  where he progressed quickly from junior physiotherapist, to senior physiotherapist, to clinical lead.

He then went on to set up Your Physio in 2014. Since then he has worked with many elite level athletes including International footballers, Olympic Athletes and International Cricketers. Stephen takes great pride in providing the same level of care to all his clients regardless of exercise levels, age or injury.

 

Katy Holly

Katy is a Chartered Physiotherapist who completed her degree in 2016 and went on to complete her masters in Sports Medicine in 2017. Katy has experience working with various teams and has a keen interest for sports related injuries. 

She has gained a wide variety of experience through working in the NHS, private sector and with sports teams such as Derry City Football Club, Ulster University and Steelstown Brian Og’s. Her knowledge of injuries within the athletic population is supported by her experience of playing senior gaelic football for county Derry over the past few years. 

Katy has recently completed her own rehabilitation and returned to sport following an ACL reconstruction. She knows exactly what you are going through!

Ally McKeown

Ally is a highly experienced passionate Chartered Physiotherapist.

He qualified from UUJ in 2007 and has had various NHS roles including orthopaedic triage, emergency department physio and is currently in a first contact physio post.

Ally has also worked in private practice for over 14 years – he is very passionate about rehabilitation, not just for the sporty individual

Clinical interests – rehab (strength & conditioning focus), sports injuries, spinal pain, persistent pain, pre/rehab for operative procedures.

Sporting interests – running, cycling, gym, GAA 🏐

Previously worked for – Antrim GAA, Ireland Masters GAA, Portadown FC

John Lyttle

John began his physiotherapy journey in 2006. He graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University and then went on to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2012, with a specialisation in Musculoskeletal Management.

Professionally, John worked for three seasons with Glasgow Celtic Football Club.

John has also worked in New Zealand, treating professional rugby players as well as providing physiotherapy to the New Zealand Royal Ballet.

During his impressive career he has also worked with UEFA Champions League Referees, the Scottish FA, Team GB athletes and countless other professional athletes.

John also has an extensive experience in the non- sporting environment. He has worked both in the NHS and private sector. He has treated a wide variety of patients and a wide variety of conditions.

He has most recently worked in a world-leading clinic in Bristol, England that specialised in upper limb disorders and complex patients.

John has continued to develop his clinical interest in the management of headaches.

Away from work John is a keen fitness enthusiast- mixing multisport endurance events with surfing, mountain biking and CrossFit.

Orlaith Watson

With a background as an international gymnast, Orlaith has a fantastic understanding of the human body and elite athletic performance.

She has gained extensive experience working with various sports teams. For the past three years, she has been involved with her local GAA and soccer teams. Recently, Orlaith started working with International cricket players as part of the physio team for the NorthWest Warriors. 

During her degree, Orlaith travelled to America to gain experience in a Neurological rehabilitation. After graduating, she returned to the United States to work in the same neurological facility. Her dedication to expanding her knowledge and skills has led her to plan a 12-week training program in America.

Orlaith is thrilled to continue applying her holistic approach to facilitate patient rehabilitation.

Justine McKendry

Justine is our Practice Manager. She joined us in 2019 after having spent six years as a Chartered Physiotherapist in the NHS to take up a non-clinical role here at Your Physio.

She manages everything business related; from the daily running of the clinic, accounts, marketing and so much more. She is there for the clients and the rest of our team. We would be lost without her.
